The weight of a piggyback camera, tele-extender or other accessory can easily affect the balance of your telescope, resulting in blurry astrophotos or damage to your motor drive or clutch. There is also the chance of physical injury because an unbalanced telescope can swing abruptly when the right ascension or declination locks release.
